Hello, my name is Barb Banfield Young.I might be a novice at this. Bear with me.

I have been a James Taylor fan since Sweet Baby James came out.I was around 13 then. That makes me???You do the math!! I have been playing music myself since I was 10. Singing in festivals and learning piano. When I was 13 I got a Yamaha guitar and learned JT songs and John Prine tunes and played in coffee houses.

High school came and went in a small town in southern Ontario. At 18 I joined a bluegrass band with my brother, Howie. I was very lucky to travel around the world and play some interesting places and meet some great people. I played guitar and autoharp in the band which became a duo. Me and my brother. I know...How sweet!!!!But I met and played with people like Valdi, Colleen Peterson,Raffi(kids singer)and many wonderful Canadian musicians.I met my husband while playing in Florida. He is a most talented musician. Funny too. Mikey and I have been married and living in Indiana for 15 years. We perform folk, bluegrass and gospel music. We are in a musical called Broadcast Gnus(thats right) that does shows a few times a year. The show consists of 8 talented and loud peope!!!!!!!I perform these days at preschools and festivals. I now play guitar, banjo, autoharp and mandolin. Our children are talented( they get it from their father)hehe. I know I've met alot of wonderful people in JTO. It is my favorite place to be when I'm not with my family. Some of you have met yogi, our son. He plays great trumpet and guitar. Jules is pretty young and mostly thinks about food!!!!

I sing solos at church and do local radio shows. I wouldn't trade my musical experiences for the world. For they have brought me my husband, my children,JTO, and wonderful memories. So if we should meet in JTO or in real life, I will just add more lovely memories to an already full scrapbook.

Hope we meet someday.
